Manali Sugars plans expansion programme

Manali Sugars is planning an expansion programme at its sugar mill in Malaghan in Vijayapura district of Karnataka. The project involves expanding sugar crushing capacity from its existing 2,500 tcd to 5,000 tcd and also increasing captive cogeneration power plant capacity from 10 MW to 30 MW. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1,728 million.

As of November 2019, the project is in planning stage and the project is likely to go operational by mid 2021.
