Om Sugars Ltd is planning to set up a distillery in Jainapur village in Chikodi Taluk in Belagavi district of Karnataka. The project involves setting up of 30 klpd molasses based distillery and a cogeneration power plant of 1.0 MW. The molasses for the distillery will be supplied from its existing sugar complex of 2500 tcd. The distillery will produce Rectified Spirit/ENA/ / Ethanol, Impure spirit. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 523 million.
