Hubli airport gets cargo terminal

Hubbali airport has commissioned a new cargo terminal improving the trade and logistics profile of the north Karnataka region. The old passenger terminal was converted to handle general, perishable and other categories of goods. It has been converted at a cost of ₹ 45 lakhs. The cargo terminal spreads across 1000 sq. meters and can handle 100 tonnes of cargo and can overall handle 15000 tonnes per year.

It can provide dedicated storage space for valuables and dangerous goods, provision for commercial office space for freight forwarders, e-commerce and courier companies are available at the cargo terminal.
