Karnataka government is planning to set up a Life Science /Bio Technology Park near Electronic City in Bengaluru in Karnataka. The park will cover an area of over 52 acres and will have an built up area of 9.0 million square feet. The state government is building the park in public-private partnership along with Labzone Corp.
The Bio Technology park will go operational by the year 2022. It is expected to attract investment from over 150 companies from all over the world. It may be noted that, Karnataka is the state where 60% of India’s bio technology industry is located.
