Balaji Sugars and Chemicals Private Limited (BSCPL) is planning to set up a distillery in Yeregal village in Muddebihal Taluk of Bijapur district in North Karnataka. The project involves setting up of a 60 klpd molasses based distillery and a 3 MW cogeneration power plant. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 600 million.
