Acciona Wind Energy has set up a 78 MW wind power project in Bannur Wind farm in Bijapur district of Karnataka. The project had set up 26 AW125/3000 Nordex-Acciona turbines, each with a rotor diameter of 125m, mounted on 120m high concrete towers. Electricity generated from the wind farm will be supplied to Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), after the signing of a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA).
