GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd is planning to set up a pharma manufacturing facility in Vemgal in Karnataka. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 10,000 million . The factory will have a capacity to supply a range of solid dose form products. The factory will go operational in 2018 and produce more than 8 billion tablets and 1 billion capsules a year. The company is also upgrading its existing Nashik facility.
