Karnataka Neeravari Nigam is developing the Baramsagara Lift Scheme in the state of Karnataka. In November 2019, the company has invited bids to award the contract for development and maintenance of the project for five years. The scope of work includes survey, investigation, design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of lift irrigation system including head works consisting of Intake canal, jack well-cum-pump house, power supply including substations and transmission lines, rising main and delivery chamber, etc and construction of gravity distribution system including structure for providing lifting of water from Tungabhadra River near Dituru village to fill 33 (39 tanks) tanks at Baramsagara Hobli in Chitradurga taluka & district on turnkey basis.
The project cost is estimated at ₹ 524.61 crore and the work is likely to be completed in 24 months.
