Kirloskar Ferrous Industries is planning an expansion programme at its steel unit in Bevinhalli in Koppal district of Karnataka. The project involves setting up of a coke oven plant of (0.4 mtpa) and a captive power plant of 25 MW. Land required for the project is around 85.27 which had been acquired through KIADB. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 3,000 million. As of January 2019, the project is in implementation and is likely to be completed in 2019.
