Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd is planning to set up a bio diversity park in Mangaluru. The company has signed up an MoU with Dr Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisarga Dhama, Pilikula, Mangaluru, for the development of a biodiversity park. The project will come up in an area of 41-acre marshy area located at the southern most part of MRPL’s greenbelt. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 120 million.
The park will drive awareness and sensitize people and industries about the biodiversity and adopting ex situ conservation methods.
