
Karnataka government is planning to expand the Hejamadi Kodi fishery harbour in Kaup taluk in Udupi in Karnataka. Around 40 acres of land has been acquired for the expansion programme. In October 2020, the state government through its Public Works, Ports & Inland Water Transport Department, Karnataka, has invited bids for development of a fishery harbour. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1380 million.
The project is expected to go operational by the year 2023.
In January 2021, the foundation stone for the project has been laid.
