Airports Authority of India is planning to set up a 8.0 MW solar power plant in Hubbali (Hubli) airport in Karnataka. It has invited bids in January 2019 for development of the project. The scope of work involves survey of the site, shadow analysis, complete design for optimal space use, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, storage, installation, commissioning, testing, insurance and civil work. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 450 million.
