Mukand Sumi Special Steel – which is a joint venture between Mukand Ltd and Sumitomo Corporation, Japan is setting up a new steel rolling facility at Kanakapur village in Koppal district of Karnataka. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 6,000 million. The project involves setting up of a new, fully-automated wire rod-cum-bar mill with PSM technology that enables accurate dimensional tolerance.
Land required for the project which is 52 acres is already available.
