Orient Cement is planning to expand its cement plant in Itagi village near Chitapur in Kalaburgi district of Karnataka. The project involves expanding clinker capacity from 2.0 mtpa to 5.0 mtpa, cement production capacity from 3.0 mtpa to 7.0 mtpa, captive power plant of 50 MW. Limestone requirement will be met from captive limestone mines. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 13540 million.
